Event Description: Green Venture will be sharing a booth at the 2010 Dundas Cactus Festival with Environment Hamilton and Dundas in Transition.
The 35th Annual Dundas Cactus Festival takes place Aug 20-22. King Street is blocked off from York Road to Market Street, and there is a parade on Thursday evening, Aug 19, at 7:00 pm.
Following that from Friday to Sunday there are live musicians, buskers, arts & crafts, games, vendors on the street, and information booths like Green Venture's.
Please come out and soak in the free community fun.

During the day, there will be musical entertainment on the stage along the north side of the park, near the entrance. We are also thrilled to welcome War of 1812 Bicentennial era re-enactors and soldiers, who will occupy booths in the park, and a short canon demonstration by the soldiers. We are also delighted to be joined by several of our Grimsby Market vendors, who will be be an example of Green local dining. We also will greatly enjoy the works of our talented Grimsby Pumphouse artists at our artists' alley near the entrance.
Directions to the Park: From either east or west, on the QEW, take the Christie Street exit, and drive two blocks south to Elm Street.

Event Description: Visit the Hamilton Katimavik House.
Katimavik is a nationally funded, non-profit education program for youth ages of 17 and 21 across Canada. The object of the nine-month program is to bring youth from diverse backgrounds together to learn from one another. They will experience the rewards and challenges of group living, work on their second official language, obtain work experience through working with non-profit organisations in various communities, and investigate various Canadian realities across the map.
Part of this experience is to spend some time with families in the area to broaden their perspective of the community in which they are currently living, and to get to know community members on a different level.
The Hamilton Katimavik Open House runs from 7-9 pm, on Thursday, February 5, 2009.

Event Description: Join Green Venture at "Green Living in Grimsby", part of the Festival of the Forty, one of the largest single day festivals in West Niagara. There will be activities and entertainment at Coronation Park and throughout downtown Grimsby.
A host of bands and singers are scheduled to entertain in the Park. There will be a historic military presentation in full dress from 2pm-2:30pm. Magic shows and Buskers will be performing on Main and Ontario Streets from 11am-4pm.
Take a stroll along Artisan Alley to browse local wares, then step around the corner to the Farmers' Market for some delicious local produce.
Visit the Living Green Displays, including Green Venture's booth, and see what you should be doing now to help the future, looking forward.
The festival includes sidewalk sales in downtown Grimsby and vendors throughout the park and area for your shopping pleasure. All this capped off with a fireworks display in Centennial Park at 9:45pm. This is the rescheduled fireworks show from Happening in the Park.
